Police have arrested Kampala MP Mohammed Nsereko
at his home at Old Kampala on allegation of inciting violence during the
burial of fallen Butaleja MP Cerinah Nebanda. MP Nsereko has been taken
to Special Investigations Unit to record a statement.
Mr Nsereko on Sunday dismissed the government autopsy report that cocaine and alcohol had been found in Ms Nebanda’s body.
“Police were here at around 4am and said they were
here to arrest me for inciting violence. But I have a right to right to
say what I feel is right,” Mr Nsereko said earlier at his home.
Police spokesperson, Ms Judith Nabakooba, has yet confirmed the arrest but said they want the MP to record a statement.

to a Congolese rebel group called COGAI,” Ms Nabakooba said.
She added, “He had promised to support the rebel
groups with fire arms. We also have information, that he has foreign
