Police in Mpigi district has rescued a 13 year old girl from a pig sty.
The young girl identified as Patricia was brought by her mother to stay with the step mother known as Nabadda Teddy in Nakatooke village located in Bullo Sub County.
Immediately after arriving , Nabadda got all her new clothes and gave them out to neighbors .
She then got some space in her pigsty and locked her inside .Four over four month ,she has been feeding with pigs in the same containers.
Neigbours said that the child used to compete with the pigs to eat .One resident added that sometimes the pigs used to bite her hands and mouth in the process of eating.
When police stormed their home with a group of residents who reported the matter ,the girl looked weak and malnourished .
She had wounds on her mouth and hands ,all suspected to be pig bites.Patricia who was brought a normal kid in Primary Three , now looks like a three year old child.
Nabadda was whisked to police to answer charges of torturing an innocent child.
Police asked mothers to always make sure that they stay with their children and desist from dumping them just to anybody.
