A man in Kole district has been detained at Alito Police Outpost for setting his wife ablaze over failure to give birth.
The suspect whose name was not revealed at the time of filing this report returned to his home in Alito Sub-county, Kole District on Sunday and decided to set his 40 –year- old wife ablaze.
He had married her for the last ten years, though the creator had never opened her womb for a child.
On the fateful day, the suspect waited for his wife to enter their grass thatched house, locked it with a padlock and set it ablaze.
She made an alarm and attracted residents who came for her rescue.
Unfortunately, she had sustained several burns on her body by the time the door was broken for her to get out, The LCI chairperson, Mr Charles Apita told the press.She is receiving treatment at Lira hospital
