Desire Luzinda Quizzed by Mother over Nude Photos

Embattled singer Desire Luzinda’s nude-photo scandal angered her family members to an extent that her mother called her expressing shock about the celebrity’s misconduct.

“Luzinda, were you drugged? Were you drunk? How could you do this?” Luzinda’s mother quizzed her on phone hours after word passed around that her private photographs had been released by jilted Nigerian lover, Franklin.

This was revealed by the musician while appearing in an interview with BBC on Tuesday night.

“Even my mother called me. She was shocked and wondered that I could do such a thing. I did not even have an answer,” said Luzinda.

The singer said her mother could not imagine that the “Desire she knew” could be involved in a nude photo scandal.

In the pictures widely shared on social media, a naked Luzinda is seen posing seductively for cameras.

She also touches her private parts in what seems a move to excite her boyfriend.

Police have since asked Luzinda to record a statement to facilitate investigations into the scandal.

During the BBC interview, Luzinda said “basing on words and posts on social media and what I have been hearing on line, people are compassionate.”

She says it would be hurtles for one to be judgemental about the leaked photographs, saying she was in love with someone she didn’t expect to betray her.

Luzinda also exhibits extraordinary courage, insisting she will emerge from the scandal “stronger than ever before”.

On summons by police to explain how the pornographic content leaked, Luzinda said she is not worried of being arrested.
