MUSEVENI: Because I was handling this myself, I was not involving anybody else except these young people.
I didn't tell anybody, I didn't want him to come and be arrested at the airport. On the day he was coming, I had travelled to Abu Dhabi
I didn't tell anybody, I didn't want him to be harassed. That is why I sent Inteligence chief Brig. Bala to go there and wait for him.
Gen. Tinyefunza on his part said Brig. Barya caused confusion as people claim he was recieved officially
He came and went to the village. What has been happening has beenn a lack of coordination partly because of the secrecy of how I handled it.

President Yoweri Museveni has this afternoon met General Sejusa (Tinyefunza) who recently returned from self imposed exile.
The meeting, according to The President's Deputy Press Secretary Lindah Nabusayi, took place at State House Entebbe.
The surprise meeting followed two days in which Gen Sejusa had declined to meet the president, and had been confined to his house in Kampala. Today Museveni on Capital Gang promised to resolve the issue.
"I had not commented on the return of Gen. Tinyefunza. I have seen a lot in the papers. I want to use this chance 2sort out facts for public," a cheerful Museveni said .
" Gen. Tinyefunza has been in London but at some stage I came to learn that he wanted to come back."
"When I learnt that he wants to come back, I sent three young people two of whom are here to contact him."

"I have seen in papers that he has been bribed, he was given money...that is not true. We actually wanted to give him airticket but he said "No".
"To sort out all the confusion arising out of his stay in London, he agreed to come back at his own cost. That he is a rich man, I don't know where he got money from. It's true we wanted to support him but he declined."
"I don't think even Brig.Nalweiso who was facilitating  travel knew. I didn't tell her. Because I was handling this myself, I was not involving anybody else except these young people."
