Spurs’ homegrown hero only went and lived out his boyhood dream today, scoring a brilliant brace in the North London derby – his first NLD – to earn his side the 3 points and the bragging rights.
Arsenal had gone ahead through a brilliant Mesut Ozil finish, though they spent the first half perched back int their own half playing very much on the break.
Spurs capitalized on Arsenal’s excessively defensive approach in the 2nd half by increasing their attacking intensity, and drew level through Kane.
Then just as the game looked to be heading for a draw, Kane popped up with the winner to put Kane-Mania into overdrive.
Adding to the pleasure for Spurs fans, they leapfrog Arsenal into 4th spot.
