Private students at Makerere University have protested a policy,
which requires them to pay 100% tuition fees before they can do
courseworks, which commence next week. The earlier deadline for payment
expires on 13th March.
However, according to a circular posted on the university website and signed by Vice Chancellor Prof. John Ddumba Ssentamu, a management meeting agreed to extend the deadline to 27th March 2015.
According to the statement, management is appealing to the students' community to utilize the extension period to register and clear their outstanding dues.
