East Africa’s No 1 artiste, Jose Chameleon is now a free man after
being cleared of the murder case which have haunted him for several
months.
A man identified as Stephen Karamagi allegedly set himself ablaze at Chameleon’s home in Seguku and died a few days later at Mulago hospital.
The first story that broke was that Karamagi was a thief with the intention of killing Chameleone’s wife, Daniella Atim . However, he allegedly poured on himself petrol by mistake and set himself on fire.
Some other reports indicated that it was the boys in the home of Chameleone who beat up Karamagi , poured on him the paraffin and set him on fire.
However, the spokesperson at the Director of Public Prosecutions, Jane Kajugo told the press today that all the evidence attained in the investigations was contradicting and inconsistent.
With this ,police was directed to close the file against Chameleon.
