It looks like China loves the iPhone 5.
Apple announced it sold 2.1 million phones in China just three days after its launch on December 14.
“Customer response to iPhone 5 in China has been incredible, setting a new record with the best first weekend sales ever in China,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook in a statement. “China is a very important market for us and customers there cannot wait to get their hands on Apple products.”
By the end of this month, the iPhone 5 will be available in more than 100 countries. The company calls it the fastest iPhone rollout to date.
China's iPhone 5 includes Mandarin language options.
According to Emirates247, that means Apple is selling about 463 smartphones a minute
