Toy box: iPhone5 cases

Tech21 Impact Band
A wrap-around band meant to replace Apple's popular iPhone 4S bumper case (Apple isn't making an iPhone 5 version), the Impact Band (HK$385) grips to the edges of the device while leaving the screen uncovered. A lip protrudes a few millimeters above the screen to protect it from damage if dropped. There is an optional back plate - complete with camera cut-out - that offers sturdier protection, although a gap across the iPhone 5's speakers means it has a looser fit than we would have liked.
Capulet London wristlet
Handcrafted in Britain from French and Italian leather, this wristlet from Capulet London (HK$2,100) can hold an iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4/4S), credit cards, cash and even keys. It's designed for an evening out, and though the iPhone 5 is a snug fit, it does at least guarantee some protection. However, the 17cm long wristlet, which is detachable, can take no more than three or four credit cards before the magnetic fastener starts to strain. It's best used for brief dinner dates, not shopping trips.
OtterBox Defender Realtree camo
The perfect companion to the great outdoors, the OtterBox Defender (HK$470) is designed to absorb the shock of being dropped and rained upon while allowing access to the iPhone 5's features. It has three-piece polycarbonate and silicone protective covers with hinged plugs allowing easy access to the speakers, headphone jack and camera. It also ships with a detachable belt clip, and it's possible to attach the iPhone 5 to your belt with its screen facing inwards for total protection.
