Princess Ruth Komuntale of Toro has drawn out her hand to help
vulnerable women and children. Her help focuses on helping victims of
gender based violence and needy children. The princess launched her
campaign at the beginning of this week by visiting children at Sanyu
Babies Home and Purpose Uganda Pre-Primary School. Her Ex-husband
Christopher Thomas has bitterly snubbed her campaign, referring her to
help Tooro- her Kingdom.
“Ha you call giving biscuits to children who need water, fruits, vegetables to survive as life changing lol, then doing it in Entebbe of all places not Tooro. I guess she is a Princess of all Nations. First she needs to stay in her own lane before she goes to others.” He said on the social media after learning about the project
“Look how the children gave her a ‘what the hell is this look’. No joy nor happiness in that picture.” Added the former Duke of Tooro
Despite Christopher’s remarks, Komuntale intends to extend her project to different parts of the country.
“Under this project we want to empower these people economically by training them in different skills such as hospitality and tourism, craftsmanship among others. I believe by equipping them with hands-on-skills, they can self-sustain in the long run,” Princess Komuntale told journalists during her tour at Sanyu Babies Home.
