Over 10,000 students to graduate at Makerere






Over 10,000 students are to graduate at Makerere University during the 65th graduation ceremony that will take three days.




According to the Makerere University spokesperson, Ritah Namisango, the graduation ceremony will take place between January 21 and 23, 2015.


“The Chancellor of Makerere University, Prof. George Mondo Kagonyera will preside over the function at the University Freedom Square,” she revealed in a statement Thursday.


Each graduand, Namisango added, will receive a card strictly allowing in two people (parents/guardian/sponsor).


She said the security team will ensure that regulations put in place regarding the number of people allowed per graduand are adhered to. Different colleges and schools will present graduands on different days.


On January 21, College of: Health Sciences; Engineering, Design, Art and Technology; Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; Veterinary Medicine; Animal Resources and Bio-security; Natural Sciences and that of Humanities and Social Sciences will present their graduands.


On January 22, the College of Education and External Studies as well as Makerere University Business School will present graduands.


On January 23, the school of law, College of Business and Management Sciences as well as the College of Computing and Information Sciences will present their graduands.
