Makerere strike enters day three, one critically injured

The Makerere University strike has now entered day three as students continue running around with the police.
The students who regrouped on Friday morning are still protesting the University tuition policy that demands that all tuition be paid to 100 per cent before tests and course works are submitted.
The vice chancellor, Prof John Dumba Sentamu had earlier on Thursday issued a statement extending the deadline for payment to march 27. However, the students are not interested in the deadline.
"We shall fight until the last drop of blood because the two weeks are not enough for our parents to clear the millions" Mr Joseph Asiimwe, a second year student of computer sciences said.
There are also unconfirmed reports that a student has fallen off a speeding police patrol car. Sources state however that the student is still alive and has been rushed to Mulago hospital in critical condition.
