The Bell Nation featuring Mavado and Chris Martin Live that was
slated to take place tomorrow (Dec 29) at the Lugogo Cricket Oval hangs
in balance if Mavado's tweet is anything to go by.
David Constantine Brooks aka Mavado the Jamaican singer twitted that: "Ugandan fans the show has been postponed but doan worry retaliation ina hurry. New date TBA shortly. Unfortunately the show was tagged with a show in Nigeria an they let us down financially an with plane tickets. they are out the picture now.
This was neither the fault of the promoter, myself or my team or the sponsor, but a third party. We are fixing it and we shall be there soon."
This show was being promoted by Cee Cee Entertainment who brought in Sisqo before Bell Lager took over.
Bell Lager is yet to communicate on this rather disturbing development though some sources say, the show will now take place on Jan 12. Mavado who was supposed to be in Uganda by Friday (Dec28) is busy planning on a performance in Nigeria tomorrow.
This is the second show to be postponed in less than two months. In November, Chris Brown's Kampala show was postponed. Ugandans are getting used to last minute disappointments. Two years back, Elephant Man also a Jamaican artiste came to Uganda and just wined and dined with Kampala babes but did not show up at Lugogo and actually left the country without performing.
It's now unfortunate for some fans that missed the P-Square show hoping to grace the Mavado and Chris Martin show. It's three days to end the year and the first ever boat cruise seems to be one of the year end activities.
Latest information from Bell Lager: - "We regret to announce that the Mavado show has been postponed to 12th Jan. Tickets are still valid."
