Ministry of Education is expected to release Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results early next week.
According to Minister of Education and Sports Ms.
Jessica Alupo, Uganda National Examination Board is to brief her on
Monday and after the meeting a date will be fixed.
“We have not yet decided which date but “A’ Level
results will be released next week. I will be briefed on 25th (Monday)
and there after we shall be able to set the date,” Alupo announced .
Speaking at the Worldwide Training College
graduation ceremony in Namuwongo, Alupo advised parents to deal with
only registered education institutions.
“I take this opportunity to applaud the private
sector like this collage on its work of improving the education system
by working closely with my ministry to ensure that technical skills are
given to students”, Alupo said.
However there are some institutions out there that
are not registered that should be brought on board or face closure,
Alupo warned. She adding, “before you enroll your child to a school or
institution of learning, ensure that it’s registered.”
“Government liberalized education because it
wanted to work closely with the private sector; it knew that the sector
can help grow the economy. As the Ministry of Education, we work closely
with the private sector and we have no problem with them,” she said.
Director Worldwide Training College Naome
Kabasharira assured parents that the institute is registered with
National Council of Higher Education and is an affiliate to Makerere
University Business School and Warnborough University, UK. A total 135
students awarded certificates in eight programs and eleven diploma
programs.
