I fail to find a justification for becoming a member of musicians' associations - Joshua Baraka.

Emerging artist Joshua Baraka has expressed his lack of motivation to become a part of the Uganda Musicians Association and the federation.

In an interview with NTV Uganda, Baraka articulated that these collectives of musicians don't offer substantial advantages to artists. He drew a comparison between them and informal social clubs centered around drinking.

The singer noted that he would entertain the possibility of affiliating with either the Association or the federation only if they can present a convincing rationale to him.

"At this point, I can't see any valid reason to join the Association or any of those groups because, as a musician, I haven't witnessed any tangible benefits," he remarked.

Joshua Baraka is the talent behind the hit song "Nana," which held a dominant presence on the airwaves earlier this year.
